I’ve never really understood the whole hat thing with babies but lately I’ve been catching myself being totally drawn to them. Am I going to be one of those Mama’s whose baby is always donning some outrageous hat or headband? Probably, but can you really blame me when it’s as cute as the one in this picture? This is from one of my newly discovered Etsy shops from Rosebudlips. I am just dying for this and think that my little girl just HAS to have it…
I was lucky to get out for a much-needed date night with The Handsome One this Saturday. After enjoying some afternoon entertainment of crazy thunderstorms and torrential downpours, the sun came out and it turned into an absolutely beautiful day. We hopped in the Yaris and did one of our favorite things: explore old neighborhoods and search for the perfect spot to want to build our dream home! Of course, every time we do this we find a new spot, and though the liklihood of this happening anytime soon is pretty slim, we are two big dreamers who LOVE to let our imaginations take over.
That night, Marty ended up taking me to enjoy some fantastic Indian food at a new place we’ve never tried. Who would have ever thought that an Indian restaurant on the top floor of a Best Western hotel would be soooo amazing! We sat at this great window-side table with a pretty cool view of the airport enjoying Spinach Paratha, Tandoori Chicken Tikka, and Lamb Saagwala (our favorite!). Marty had a Kingfisher beer while I enjoyed a Mango shake and the little girl kicked up a storm. As we sat there watching planes take off and land on the tarmac, we couldn’t help but think about all the vacations we can’t wait to take as a family. Marty and I are going to try to get as many date nights in before our daughter is born. Only 13 more weeks left and sooo much to do!
Someone please help me. Ever since I saw this adorable bedding, I can’t stop thinking about it. I’ve actually DREAMED about it and think it would be the perfect starting point for building our little one’s nursery. It’s the Argington Organic Hearts & Flower Crib set and I just think it’s the cutest!
Hi there! Sorry it’s been forever since I last posted, things have been quite busy at the Buehler household. We’ve been hit with spring fever & I rarely pick up my laptop unless I have something work related to do in the evenings. Marty & I have been spring cleaning, gardening, taking the girls on long walks at night, and giving our grill a good workout these days. Bring on the warm weather! Here’s a little update on what’s new on the pregnancy side of our lives:
How far along: 24 weeks & 4 days (6 months!) Only 15 weeks and 3 days until my due date.
What’s baby up to these days: Kicking and moving around like crazy! First time movement this past week includes both bladder and rib kicks that get stronger and stronger everyday.
How I’m feeling: Holy heartburn! Me and Tums are good friends these days. I often wonder about the old wives tale that frequent heartburn is a sign of a full head of hair. Guess we’ll see…
Foods I’m craving: Eggs (Gotta get those Omega 3’s for optimal brain and organ development) and ICE CREAM.
What I’m missing & bumming about: A glass of wine with dinner, my waistline, and knowing I won’t be able to rock a bikini like I did last summer.
Belly Button: Still in, but pushed out to the max! (Stay in there please!)
Workouts: My energy level is f-a-d-i-n-g FAST, but I’m still trying to keep up my game with cardio 3 times a week and weekly prenatal yoga sessions.
Milestones: My pregnancy is now considered viable outside the womb.
Looking forward to: Getting the little ladies room set up – we can’t wait to get started!
