Aint Nothing Else on Earth Like a Happy Baby

Our little girl is growing up before our eyes faster than ever.  She’s gaining weight, growing out of baby clothes, and getting so much stronger every single day… and she’s only 3 and a half weeks old!

While I’ve been one emotional Mama these days, even Marty had a big sad face yesterday when we both realized that Ev no longer fits in her little strawberry outfit anymore.  It’s a little bittersweet for us, but we both are hopeful that we have many more years and years of experiences to have with her, places to see with her, and plenty more adorable outfits to dress her in and (gulp) happily watch her grow out of.

Lots of first’s this week:

First time wearing shoes (see pic above, aren’t they cute? Her Mama certainly approves.)

First bath (yeah, she was not a fan.  We’re hoping for better luck next time.)

First trip to the park with Mom, Dad, and  pups (see pics below).

First look at Ev’s belly-button (woot!) – she has a cute little innie that matches Mom’s.

Everly enjoyed some fresh air and (rare) 75 degree weather with us and the dogs at Tilles Park this week.

Dad discovered that the Xbox controller on Everly’s back works wonders when she’s a little gassy.  I’m just thrilled we found a practical use for the IdiotBox (oops, did I say that?)  Seriously though, Dad may like to play his video games, but this guy is like the Baby Whisperer.  When something’s going on with this little girl, Marty always knows what’s going on and how to fix it.  We are so lucky!

  1. OMG! She is getting so big so fast. A couple of those pictures she is looking like Daddy. I can’t wait to visit again.
