Pumpkin Picking at Rombachs Farm

These pictures are about a week or so old but better late than never, right?  We enjoyed some fun times and plenty of sunshine at Rombachs’ a few weekends ago.  Here are a few shots from our day…

See our pictures from last year’s pumpkin patch visit here and here.  And see Everly’s very first trip to the pumpkin patch here.  It’s amazing how much she’s grown! (sob) 🙂

I am just three days away from my due date on Halloween so we’ve been trying to wrap up loose ends at home and in the office.  While I’m extremely anxious to meet the little lady who keeps me up and night and likes to kick me throughout the day, I’m pretty content with letting her decide when her birthday will be.  So we’ll see… I’m not positive but I’m thinking this Halloween baby may be a November baby after all.

Mommy of One

Who’s more excited – Ev or Marty?

It seems like quite some time since I last posted.  Now that it’s October and technically the month this baby is due, I’ve decided to dedicate this whole month to Everly and making sure we get plenty of Mommy/Daddy/Everly time together.   We’ve been staying up later together, watching movies and going on lots of weekend adventures whenever we can squeeze in the chance.

This past weekend was a chilly one, but we managed to stop by Eckert’s to pick up some apples and treat Ev to her first PONY ride!  Of course, her Daddy was right by her side the whole time and let her choose which pony she wished to ride.  Right away, she pointed to a spunky little paint named “Brenda,” and the minute Marty set her in the saddle, her eyes twinkled like Christmas lights.  It was the cutest thing ever to see her enjoying her ride so much, and hearing “Giddy-up Brenda!” as the ponies went round and round.  She’s been talking about Brenda ever since, and we can’t wait to take her on more rides in the future.

Our next adventure will hopefully involve the Pumpkin Patch, which we’re super pumped about.  Here are a few pics – we’re off for some more weekend fun!

Mommy Daughter Day

My gorgeous girl

I mean, seriously.  Look at THOSE LASHES.  This kid kills me, she really does.  Today I had the day off to kick off our long holiday weekend (Yay!).  Today is all about me and this girl in the photo.  We woke up early, we made breakfast, we visited a good friend, we bummed around, we had french fries and strawberry shakes, we watched movies and napped.  I’ve decided I think we need more of these days, period.

Memorial Day at the Lake

Just thought I’d share a few pictures from our little “stay-cation” this past holiday weekend at the lake.  We enjoyed lots of fresh air, BBQ, fun times with friends, and plenty of laughter.  It was also our 6th wedding anniversary that Saturday, so a little low key overnight gathering with friends was the perfect little way to celebrate.  We had a blast and can’t wait for the rest of this summer’s adventures to come.

Little Yoginis

Today was a very special little girl’s 3rd birthday party and also Everly’s very first yoga practice!  That’s right, we attended a yoga-themed kids’ birthday party at the studio where I’ve been practicing for the last few years, and also where the Birthday Girl’s Mom (and a good friend of mine) is an instructor.

We were stoked to see how Everly took to it and weren’t surprised one bit when she jumped right in with all the kids on the mats.  We can’t say that she mastered any poses this time but she sure had lots of fun and definitely seemed intrigued with what was going on around her.

Here’s a few shots from today…

The kids followed a playful practice, then decorated Tree Pose cookies with icing and sprinkles.  It was hands down the most adorable kids’ party we’ve ever attended!

Pumpkin Patchin’ – Part 1

We got a chance to visit our favorite pumpkin patch, Rombach’s, over the weekend and had so much fun!  Everly had a blast was fascinated by all of the orange.  We took so many pictures – too many to include now, which is why I’ll be sharing more pictures from the pumpkin patch trip in a follow-up post.  Hope you enjoy these!

Have a peek at last year’s trip to the pumpkin patch.  Everly was only 12 weeks old!

Our Sunday Zoo Adventure

My apologies for it been so quiet here lately. I’ve been such a busy Mama Bee these days and have been majorly slacking in the blog department.  We’ve had lots going on this past month but we managed to find time to squeeze in a trip to the zoo one lovely Sunday afternoon. Sunday is my absolute favorite day of the week – Have I ever mentioned that?  Anyways, here are some pics from our day.

We just can’t wait to go back and visit all of our animal friends again!

4th of July

We had high hopes of spending Sunday, July 3rd, on the lake with plenty of sunshine, but about mid-day a little storm cloud turned into a heavy downpour.  We were able to pull the boat in just as things were getting started but definitely didn’t let a little bit of rain spoil our fun.  We still ate a ton of BBQ (yum!), laughed our butts off, and Marty and a few friends even hopped in the lake to swim  during the rain.

After the rain cleared and the sun set over the lake, we even got to partake in a little fireworks show on the dock.  Everly did surprising well with all of the fireworks and wasn’t at all fazed by the loud crackles and explosions.  She bounced on our laps and squealed with delight as we watched them ignite and spread into colorful fragments in the air, each one’s reflection dancing across the water.  By the time we pulled into our driveway at 11 o’ clock at night, we were all beat and ready to sleep.  We love the Fourth of July and can’t wait for next year.  Hope you all had a Happy 4th!
