Long Overdue Beach Pics

It’s been a while.  6 months since my last post to be exact.  A lot has happened since then.  But rather than explain it all, here are some long over due pictures documenting our wonderful summer.  I traveled to New York on business,we went back to our home away from home (the beach!), Everly turned four, and Milly enjoyed her first trip to Urgent Care for stitches.  Life is moving WAY too fast these days…

And yes, perhaps our biggest news is that the littlest Buehler will be here February 2015. 🙂  We just can’t believe we’re going to be a family of five.  Everly has been holding some very serious big sister training sessions for Milly and we are all so excited to meet #3.

Another Week in Paradise

It’s been a few (long) weeks since we’ve been back from our annual family vacation at the beach and I’m finally getting around to posting some of our photos.  Better late than never, right?  The Emerald Coast, was absolutely breathtaking, as it always is, and captured our hearts the same way it does every year.  We were happy to leave behind our normal routines in St. Louis and live a week of the beach life, with no set bedtimes, nap times, or mealtimes, and just going with the flow and whatever felt best.  Everly, just as we suspected, proved to be quite the little fish we thought her to be and spent every spare second she could swimming in the pool or with us in the ocean (she did NOT care for the sand, however).  We can’t believe we’ll have another little guppy in tow with us next year!  I am 25 weeks pregnant in these pictures and here I am 25 weeks pregnant with Everly.  Enjoy these pictures – we’ll be looking at them all year til we get to go back!

Our little week in Paradise

I’m a little late with this post, as our tans have long faded and the last bits of sand have finally dusted off the bottoms of our flip flop’s and sun-stained beach hats, but started flipping through a few pictures from our trip and wanted to take a moment to remember our little beach excursion last month.

Our first family vacation in Destin couldn’t have been better.  It was one of the most relaxing weeks we’ve had as a family in a very long time.  The water was absolutely pristine: crystal clear, glass-like, and the color of turquoise.  We woke up and made our way down to the water’s edge every day, with our little one grasping our fingers pulling us to the shore to explore.

We laid in the sun, read pages of books, swam for hours, fell asleep in our beach chairs, stayed up late and enjoyed long talks, took morning walks, and laughed til our cheeks hurt.  Before we knew it, it was time to go, and I found myself wiping tears away as I packed up our family to head back to reality.

“We’ll come back soon,” I told Ev as she glanced over my shoulder at the sparkling ocean one last time.   What a magnificent week and perfect first vacation for our little girl.  We’re secretly counting the days til we go back next year.
Love,
E
