Cousins!

Can you say CUTE? Everly, meet Kenzie!  I’ve been meaning to put these pictures up for quite some time of Ev meeting her little cousin for the first time.  Believe it or not, Kenzie, tiny as she appears, is actually a full 2 months older than Everly.  They are going to have so much fun together & we can’t wait for the next play date!

Look at this pretty tutu and rhinestone onesie that Kenzie brought Everly.  I love the apple green & pink colors! Kenzie’s Mama makes them and after seeing Everly’s in-person, I must say that every little girl needs one.

Check out my cousin’s Etsy shop, McKenzie’s Boutique, to view some of her designs.  You choose your colors and each tutu is custom-made with ribbon and you can even add rhinestones.  If you have a baby shower or little girl’s birthday party coming up, these tutu’s make great gifts and will be the hit of your event!  They are even cuter in person!  We have Evie’s hanging on her closet door and everyone who comes over instantly admires it.  We can’t wait to order another one!

Shh! Look what Santa’s Bringing Everly

Our Ev has been such a good girl these days that Santa is definitely making a stop at our house this Christmas.  While I know she’d probably be just as happy to get her hands on a cardboard box or a sock, there’s a few things that Santa will be sneaking into her stocking this year…

Sophie the Giraffe

We hear great things about this all-natural rubber teething toy that’s been a top pick since the 1960s, and with Everly starting to teethe, we’re hoping this cute lil’ lady will bring our girl a little comfort while those choppers are cutting.

On the Night that You Were Born
by Nancy Tillman

I am a huge reader, so books are definitely something that I want Ev to enjoy.   This one sounds absolutely adorable.  And who doesn’t ask their parents to tell them the story of when they were born?

Here’s a little except:

“On the night you were born, the moon shone with such wonder that the stars peeked in to see you and the night wind whispered, ‘Life will never be the same.’ Because there had never been anyone like you… ever in the world.”

So.Darn.Cute!

GroVia Hybrid cloth diapers

Yep, we are still planning on cloth diapering and are have decided to invest in a diaper package from the eco-friendly company, Grovia.  Throwing away disposable diapers makes me feel terrible, and while I understand cloth diapering will require a little more effort on our part, we have decided to give it whirl.  We like these because we can use a cloth insert at home and disposable liners when we’re on the go.  It’s less waste and it will save us a TON each month on diaper costs.

These are just a few treats that Santa has tucked away to put under the tree for Everly.  We just can’t wait to wake up with her on Christmas morning for the first time!  Christmas was such a magical time for Marty & I when we were little ones so we are gearing up to enjoy every second of the season with Everly.   Although presents and surprises are always fun, we’re really looking forward to spending time with our families and teaching our little girl the true meaning of Christmas.  We are so thankful for each other and pinch ourselves every day, wondering when we’re going to wake up from this amazing dream.

Nothing Like a Little Saturday AM Dance Party

This is how we do it in the Buehler house.  Here’s a look at Daddy & Everly after they woke up today and realized it was Saturday – we get excited over the littlest things here.

After this little impromptu dance session, we made some coffees, and Ev & I cleaned house while Marty mowed the lawn.  We’re bummed around all day, just running errands, enjoying the weather, and plotting all the fun things we plan to do this fall – like taking Everly apple picking and mastering the perfect apple crisp, visiting the Botanical Gardens when the leaves start  to take pictures, and maybe even hitting up some Missouri wineries next month.

I always get excited for Fall because I love weather that calls for a sweater, a fun hat and a pair of boots. And now besides having fun with Fall clothes in my own closet, I have a little pint-size Evie that I get to play dress up with all the time.  I saw these little Zuzii boots for munchkins on Etsy the other day and I think I’m in love.  Just might have to get these for my girl.  Aren’t they cute?

And we’re calling her…

I guess it’s about time we let the cat out of the bag.  It’s not really a secret but we haven’t formally announced what her name will be.  We’re so excited to meet Miss Everly Grace – we think the name is beautiful and hope you all do too!

These are wooden baby blocks that actually made myself – I know, crazy right?  Watch out Everly Grace, your Mama is starting to get crafty!

I have been hit with the bug…

I’ve never really understood the whole hat thing with babies but lately I’ve been catching myself being totally drawn to them.  Am I going to be one of those Mama’s whose baby is always donning some outrageous hat or headband?  Probably, but can you really blame me when it’s as cute as the one in this picture?  This is from one of my newly discovered Etsy shops from Rosebudlips.  I am just dying for this and think that my little girl just HAS to have it…
